Career opportunities with BirdLife Botswana: Professional Guide Funding opportunity with BirdLife Botswana

BirdLife Botswana is working with Nata Conservation Trust to support any willing candidates from the areas covered by Nata Conservation Trust (Nata, Manxotai, Sepako, Maposa) to attain a professional guide licence. The intention is not only to help residents better appreciate and manage avifauna resources in and around Nata Sanctuary but also use the skills for economic benefit. Once candidates have gained knowledge and license, we will provide relevant assistance, where we can for them make their own revenue using the acquired skills. Students will have to sign a contract before being funded.

 

By applying for the opportunity you agree to abide by the terms and conditions set by the evaluation committee, where their decision shall be final and are not obliged to disclose any reasons for any resolutions taken regarding this opportunity. The candidate should have;

•           A class B driver’s license and have atleast a form 5 Certificate.

•           A motswana.

We will pay your school fees, transport, uniform, accommodation and student allowance for six months of your stay at a suitable school in Maun. Students should be able to start in January 2020.
